Our food is freshly cooked, not fast food. Our small team appreciates the time to prepare and serve each dish with care.
No table reservations. Please wait to be seated. We serve only the dishes listed on today’s dining menu. We’re unable to accommodate individual menu or preparation requests. Our dining room has 8 four-person booths and 7 four-person tables.
Our cook prepares each dish fresh as soon as it is ordered. For groups of four or more placing separate orders, dishes may take different amounts of time to prepare. Depending on the menu items ordered, some guests may have a longer wait.
At busy times, waits may exceed 30 minutes. If that does not fit your day, we welcome you another time. Please ask staff about regular-menu takeout availability.
We do not serve a complimentary set of side dishes. Choose today’s small plates for $4.99 each. Selections depend on freshness and availability.
Stone bowls, iron plates and soup bowls can be extremely hot. Please keep children safely seated and away from hot serving dishes.
No outside food for individuals or groups, please. Lunch has an upbeat, lively atmosphere; guests who prefer quieter conversation are encouraged to visit dinner.
A Korean market in Fayetteville
Our family food story began in 2011 in a Korean market in Fayetteville, with our mother’s hand-rolled kimbap. It grew into House of Taste: a small, independent Korean restaurant welcoming neighbors, university students and visitors from every culture.
Our mother’s sonmat — the care, experience and practiced hands behind a home-cooked meal — remains at the heart of our food. We carry that care from our sizzling stone bowl bibimbap to the meals we prepare for your table.
For a long time, we hesitated to open a website. With a small team, we wanted to be sure we could give guests the care they deserve. We value quality over volume, freshly cooked meals and service that respects our guests and the people preparing their food.
This website shares the identity we have built through years of work, the dishes we serve and the honest limits of our small restaurant. It also helps guests find our menu when older information is still circulating online.
